This information has been confirmed as false and misleading by the Management of the University of The Gambia.
The University of The Gambia has clarified that it only uses its official channels to share accurate information with the public. These channels include all UTG’s social media platforms, such as X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, LinkedIn, as well as its official website and email. The university emphasized that the information in the “Online Courses Smart Home” post is entirely untrue and has no connection to UTG.
Moreover, the Fact Check Center has come across numerous dubious and misleading Facebook pages attempting to deceive the public by falsely claiming to offer free courses under the name of the University of The Gambia. We urge the public to be vigilant and to only trust information coming from the university’s verified channels. Always refer to UTG’s official social media pages for accurate updates regarding university admissions, programs, and activities.
