FUNDING

We are a legally registered nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing fact-checking and news verification across The Gambia. Transparency is a core value for us, extending to both our funding sources and organizational operations.

Established in 2021, we initially operated as a volunteer-driven team with no external financial support. Since then, our organization has undergone significant development, facilitated by the European Union’s provision of equipment, materials, and support through the Center for Research and Policy Development.

Crucially, our fact-checking projects remain entirely independent, with no financial ties to politicians, political parties, or political sources. We take pride in our commitment to accuracy and impartiality. Below are the logos representing the entities that have supported our mission.
